Hands can typically be a body part that is neglected by many. In the winter, they can get especially dry by washing them all the time and with the cooler temps, they will often crack. They can bleed as well.
Hands that are not taken care of will often look older. And when we think about it, the hands are often one of the first things that we see when we meet an individual, so we want to keep them looking soft and supple.
Here is a recipe that can transform dry, rough hands into soft hands in under one minute. This recipe is for a sugar and olive oil skin scrub. Ingredients needed include:
• 3 tablespoons Extra virgin Olive Oil
• 3 tablespoons raw sugar
• 2 tablespoons honey
Combine the olive oil with the sugar and the honey. Mix well until all 3 ingredients are formed into a paste. Using a small amount, apply the scrub to the hands. Massage for at least one minute, paying attention to any rough, dry patches, then rinse them off well with warm water. Pat the hands dry and apply a moisturizing lotion or cream.
It is also good to note that this scrub is gentle enough to use on the face and the rest of the body. The sugar will help to exfoliate the skin while the honey will lend antibacterial properties. The extra virgin olive oil will help to hydrate the skin.
